My dad and I were talking about high school and how people are always gossiping.
He told me, "Ariel you're at an age where people are always talking bad about one another. I don't care what you hear or who you hear it from I always want you to forgive them. No matter what hateful words that they may throw at you I don't want you to verbally fight back. I want you to just ignore it and forgive them. No matter how hard that may be for you and no matter how much hurt came from their words I want you to remember that YOU are a good person and NO ONE can take that a way from you no matter what they say about you. Think like you're Jesus and you're walking through getting beaten and whipped and bleeding, he forgave them. I want you to pretend like you're Jesus in those hard times, and just pray for strength. I may not go to church Ariel, but I do pray. I pray for strenghth everyday to forgive people that have hurt me, and not just forgive cause I know it's the right thing to do but forgive from my heart, truly forgive. That's something I try teaching you're brother, and he still never gets it. It's something he'll have to learn on his own."
Man that got me so emotional yesterday. I love my dad with all my heart. He's my hero along with my mom.
